Gran Vía: The heart of the city

Whenever I go to Madrid, I really like to take the time to stroll down Gran Vía from start to finish (never forgetting comfortable shoes and my best smile).

I love being close to the action, and this street is the heart of the city, almost everything is here or near here: local and international shops, traditional taverns, upscale restaurants, famous theatres, varied entertainment venues, impressive rooftop terraces and important architectural landmarks, as well as the liveliness, and the hustle and bustle of a great European metropolis.

Busy, vibrant, historical, gorgeous, stylish, crowded, beautiful, elegant—Gran Vía is where it all happens!
