Caminito del Rey: A thrilling stroll
Confession: this place is one of my favourite locations on Earth. Why? Well, just because it’s amazing to feel that you are going along a walkway that could only be accessed by truly expert climbers until it was reopened to “standard” visitors in 2015 (before that, it was extremely dangerous).
This concrete catwalk, 7.7 km long, hangs precipitously halfway up the side of a breathtaking gorge and is located only 45 km from Málaga, among huge walls of rock, picturesque greenery and stunning vertical canyons.
But don’t think I’m crazy: there is no danger nowadays, since strict safety measures have been taken in order to be used by everyone over 10.
